What are the differences between the Standard and Comprehensive Assessments?

Standard Assessment

The Standard Assessment reflects our current referral-based model and includes:

• You will receive several standard PDF questionnaires, some of which may need to be forwarded to others (e.g., a partner or family member) for completion and return.
• There is no coach or counselor involved in this process.
• The entire process is covered by MSP.
• As with all MSP-covered consultations, you will not receive a comprehensive diagnostic report. Instead, a consultation note will be sent to your referring practitioner, and follow-up care will occur through them.

Common Limitations of the Standard Assessment

• Technical barriers: Forms require Adobe Reader, and in some cases must be printed, signed, scanned, and emailed, adding extra steps.
• Delays and confusion: Forwarding forms to others can lead to errors, delays, and miscommunication.
• Privacy concerns: Using Gmail for form return may raise privacy questions for some patients.
• Email issues: Emails may be missed or go to spam, and technical difficulties can affect timely submission.
• Slower process: Because of these potential barriers, the assessment may take longer to complete.
• Scoring limitations: PDF-based questionnaires are harder to score, which may lead to a less structured and concise report.

If you are looking for a faster, more structured, and detailed evaluation, the Comprehensive Assessment may be more suitable.

Comprehensive Assessment

The Comprehensive Assessment offers a more in-depth and structured evaluation:

• Questionnaires are delivered through a secure digital system, tailored to your specific symptoms and concerns. For example, someone experiencing depression only will complete different forms than someone with anxiety, PTSD, or Autism.
• This process includes some uninsured services, requiring a fee for the use of the secure questionnaire system. We aim to keep this fee as low and accessible as possible. In some cases, this fee may be eligible for reimbursement through extended health insurance.
• You will receive a comprehensive written report, shared with both you and your referring practitioner, to support further care planning.
